Its officially less than a year (11 months) til the wedding in May 2015!!

So here's a little background on me and my fiance.

It started back in 2001 (yup that's right!) when we met at my friend's birthday party. Long story short, we started as friends and we were seeing each other by Spring 2002, just in time to ask him to be my high school prom date.

So yes, its been almost 12 years together and its been quite a ride!
He proposed on our 11th anniversary (April 22) last year at the 12 club in NYC and it began!

We have been engaged for over a year now and I already have a lot of things checked off my list (the benefit of a long 2 year engagement... which I highly recommend.)

We are having both a destination and a local NYC wedding. The destination will be a smaller ceremony with our closest friends and family and the NYC will be the full banquet with everyone. The best of both worlds!

So we have picked both our venues (The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana, DR for the destination and the Sheraton LaGuardia East in Flushing, Queens NYC.)
The deposits are down. Picked my photographer and videographer for our ceremony in DR as well!

And believe it or not, I have picked both my ceremony and reception dress! They are literally hanging in my closet as we speak! With a year to go! But its a huge weight off my shoulders.
One less thing to have to think about until alterations next year!

But its officially less than a year now... time to start looking at that checklist and I'll be updating this blog as well!
